Many people today have essentially believed a watered-down gospel that deletes the message of repentance. They believe in an all-caring, nonjudgmental God who requires no repentance or a change in their lifestyle. They will say things like, “I believe in Jesus Christ, but my God is not judgmental. My God would never send a person to hell. But I am a Christian.”

Yet they cannot have it both ways. They can’t make it up as they go.

There are many people, even in the church, who hold to a watered-down belief. This diluted gospel may be the most dangerous plague the church is facing today, because it gives a sense of false assurance to the person who believes it.

The Bible speaks of false prophets who give false assurance. In Jeremiah 6:14, God says, “They have also healed the hurt of My people slightly, saying, ‘Peace, peace!’ when there is no peace.”

It would be like going to the doctor when you are having a heart attack, and having the doctor tell you, “Oh, you are fine. You are being so dramatic! You will be OK.”

There are ministers today who say, “God loves you and everything is fine. You can do whatever you want and live however you want to live. Let’s just love one another and have a great time.”

But that is a false gospel. Yes, God loves us. Yes, God receives any person who comes to Him. But He asks us to repent. He asks us to turn from our sins. If we are not willing to do so, then we are not experiencing biblical faith. And thus, we are not going to receive what the Bible describes as genuine salvation.

Seriously there are non-catholic churches spliting every day all over the world so much so that there are somewhere close to 35,000 or more different groups (not churches)

They range from the extreem WBC people to the ultra liberals who permit anything. All claim to have the truth.

Now people have said “we agree on the essentials” but my question would be:

Who decided what the essentials are, some things that have been thrown out seem pretty clear from the bible,

Yet only one church has existed from the time of christ perfectly answering his prayer (that they may be one) and prommise (that the gates of hell will not stand) can any other group say that.

Im confussed about this so any help would be great

You are wrong, there is plenty of evidence. I’ve read it myself. If you’d read a book other than the bible once in a while you’d know the evidence is available to you. Try the library. BTW, I’m not saying we evolved from monkeys, what I am saying is that we share a common evolutionary line which diverged eons ago. There are fossils that show a hominid type that has both human and apelike characteristics.

In 1Tim 3:16 we read in the bibles that translate from the TR (textus receptus): “God was manifested in the flesh”. But when we read modern version (which translate from CT – critical text), we read something like this: “He appeared in a body”. But, we have about 607 manuscripts of 1Tim 3:16. From the 607, 600 say “God”. 4 say “He”. And 3 say other things. It means we have to choose between 99% (God) against 0,6% (he) and 0,4% (other things).

THE QUESTION: why don’t the modern version, before translating this verse from the “critical text” didn’t consider the great majority of he manuscrips? Who can believe that only 4 is right and 600 is wrong?
Christ, the “defensors” of the “critical text” recognize that. They themselves tell us that. And if you want to know, we have 5600 manuscripts of the new testament, only 5% of them belongs to the “critical text”. 95% belongs to the “traditional text”, where the “textus receptus” comes from. You should STUDY about this, man. Seriously. All christiand should be careful about what kind of bible they’re reading.
