Does the tendency of Americans to believe conspiracy theories make so many of them reject evolution?


Many Americans believe that there is some secret government conspiracy behind almost everything that goes on in the US. They think that their government is trying to trick them into doing something and only they are smart enough to see it whilst the majority of other people are just sheep. Could this tendency to believe in conspiracy theories be making Americans think that evolution is part of some secret government conspiracy?

Isn’t having a section called Law and Ethics like having one called Anorexia and Restaurants?


Seriously, I can’t see how Law and Ethics automatically get grouped together. The law *may* be ethical, and ethics *may* be enshrined in law, but the law is very often the opposite of ethical and much that can be considered ethical may even be illegal. What’s the thinking behind this connection?
