What is the source of ethics for law?
what is the relation between the law and ethics?
how is it tied in?
what ethic should the lawmakers and judges adopt?
1st answer:
but what makes them “just and fair”
so you are saying
all morals come from religion and that anyone who doesn’t
have religion has no ethics above the law? I find that ludicrous.

Human morals lead ethics in law. The concept is that we have a universal code that we need to live up to as human beings. For some, that’s religion. For others, that’s just the law.
We tie those morals into the law so that it’s not optional. You follow the rules or you pay the consequences. It’s that simple.
Laws we make should be just and in good conscience. What’s more, we should make them fairly and always have the means to repeal them or change them.
